    Ray Rothrock, Venrock Associates

    Ray Rothrock joined Venrock in 1988. His focus is primarily information technology companies and security and energy. Ray serves on the board of Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) of Tel Aviv, Israel and a number of private boards including Imaginova, Imperva, Jadoo Power Systems, PGP, Qpass, RedSeal Systems, Vontu and Zia Laser. He previously served on the boards of WholeSecurity (acquired by Symantec, NASDAQ: SYMC), Spyglass (NASDAQ: SPYG), DIGEX (acquired by Intermedia Communications), Pedestal Software (acquired by Altiris, NASDAQ: ALTS) and Haystack Labs (acquired by Trusted Information Systems/Network Associates). He also led Venrock's investment in DoubleClick (NASDAQ: DCLK). Ray has directly participated in over 30 investments by Venrock. In addition to his activities at Venrock, Ray is Chairman of the board of The Texas A&M Foundation and is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Woodside Priory School. Ray received a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A & M University, an S.M. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Harvard Business School.

     

    Lara Druyan, Allegis Capital

    Prior to joining Allegis Capital, Lara Druyan had responsibility for Silicon Graphics' desktop software business. She identified market opportunities, developed and evangelized business strategy and oversaw the successful execution and deployment of the SGI NetMeeting collaborative software suite into Fortune 500 companies including Ford, Lockheed and Boeing. In addition to launching software products, Lara was a significant contributor to the worldwide launches of Silicon Graphics' desktop systems which represented over half of the company's revenue.

    Previously, Lara worked at Merrill Lynch as an investment banker where she advised global media and telecommunications companies on corporate finance and merger and acquisition strategies. Engagements included the $2.6B sale of E.W. Scripps' cable systems. In 1991, Lara was a key member of the team that identified and engineered the use of auction technology for stock trading which culminated in the establishment of AZX, Inc.

    Lara holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. She is on the boards of Autonomic Networks and D2K and represents Allegis to the Board of Z-force Communications.

     

    Bill Elmore, Foundation Capital

    In creating Foundation Capital in 1995, Bill was merely continuing his long history of building strong organizations from the inside. He is currently serving on the board of directors for Commerce One (CMRC), Onyx Software (ONXS), Wind River Systems (WIND), Atheros Communications, gForce Systems, Packet Design, Shoreline Communications, TeaLeaf Technology and Wherenet.

    Before Foundation Capital, Bill was a General Partner at Inman & Bowman for eight years, and before that, Bill worked as the president of Visual Engineering, a graphics software supplier, and in a variety of key marketing management roles at Hewlett-Packard.

    As director and past president of the Western Association for Venture Capitalists and in his role as a director of the National Venture Capital Association, Bill is actively involved in defining, serving and representing the interests of the venture capital and private equity industries.

    In addition to an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Bill holds a BSEE and MSEE from Purdue University.
