    Paul Stich, CEO

    Stich was President and CEO of Counterpane Internet Security which was acquired by BT. He was responsible for the direction and vision of the company's innovative real-time managed security services. With 25 years of security, network and IT management experience, Stich built a team and product line that improved regulatory compliance and protected against insider threats for the largest companies in the world. Before joining Counterpane, Paul was president and CEO of Peak XV Networks, a global network management and engineering firm. Paul's first entrepreneurial success was as co-founder and CEO of Groundswell, a premier Internet consulting firm. Prior to starting Groundswell, he was a vice president at IBM Global Services where he was responsible for the telecommunications, media, entertainment and utility industries for North and South America. Before that, he was a partner at KPMG Consulting, in charge of the National Telecommunications practice.

     

    Dr. John Vastano, CTO

    Dr. Vastano brings more than 15 years experience as a proven technology visionary and architect in the areas of application acceleration, optimization and security. Prior to joining Autonomic, Vastano was senior director of worldwide systems engineering at Jasper Wireless and senior director of applications networking group systems engineering at NetScaler. In 2005, NetScaler was acquired by Citrix Systems for $325 million. While at Akamba, he co-invented broadly-accepted Web server acceleration technology. Previously he co-founded Silicon Wireless, now mDiversity, and co-invented receiver technology for wireless networks. Vastano began his career as a scientist at NASA's Ames Research Center after completing post-doctoral work at Stanford University. He earned his doctorate in physics at the University of Texas at Austin with a specialization in nonlinear dynamics and complex systems analysis and modeling. He has been granted 11 U.S. patents.

     

    Robbie Forkish, Vice President of Engineering

    Forkish co-founded Network Equipment Technologies (NET) which redefined the T1 multiplexer market enabling the company to go public after less than 4 years; at NET he held various engineering management as well as sales and marketing positions. Subsequent to NET, he was President of Forkish Consulting which provided business planning and strategic marketing services to a number of early-stage ventures. Prior to joining Autonomic, Forkish was vice president of software engineering for Hatteras Networks. He has also held executive-level marketing and business-development positions at Sentient Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems) and SOMA Networks.

     

    Alan Norquist, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management

    Norquist brings to Autonomic Networks more than 17 years of management experience developing and marketing security and IT infrastructure solutions for large and medium-sized enterprises. Before joining Autonomic, Norquist served as vice president of marketing for Imperva where he launched the company into the leadership position in Web applications and database security. Previously, he held vice president of marketing roles at Trovix and Ponte Communications as well as management positions at Sun Microsystems. Norquist is also the co-founder of Cambridge Technology Partners and was instrumental in driving the company's growth to $20 million in annual sales when it went public. Norquist holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.
